Ending Veteran Homelessness

River Valleys CoC was recognized in April 2019 by the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness for meeting the federal criteria and benchmarks to declare an end of Veteran homelessness in the CoC region. The CoC was also recognized in July 2019 with a proclamation from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for meeting this goal and advancing the statewide effort to end veteran homelessness. Meeting the criteria for this recognition means that the CoC demonstrated that a system is in place to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and one-time for Veterans.
